Director's Statement

"What is your key to success?"

My late favorite film director from Malaysia, Yasmin Ahmad,
asked in her blog.

Mine is living by my passion. Do what you love and success will
follow you all the way. Others answer: hard work, patience,
connection, timing, etc.

Yasmin thought those were important too. But her key to success is so simple:

"Be nice to your parent."

It sounds easy but it is not. Especially if you have a mother like mine:
nagging all the time to get me married.

Living by your passion, hard work, connection, timing seem so easy compared to being nice to someone you take for granted. That's why I decided to tell this story: a story of a mother and daughter.
